@Abiz

Nice work. Would you be prepared to post your .gns3 files too? That should save people having to build from scratch.

''The extension is not allowed''

The system would only accept a txt extension, you may have to rename the file.
Please let me know if it's alright.

.txt is fine. If anyone can't work out how to change it to .gns3 then they have a long way to go before attempting CCIE :)

This was built using Debian Jessie x86 however, i have adjusted the interface mapping to reflect both ER and Cisco's version.

Creating your topology from this is a little involved. Here is how I did it:

  1. Fired up GNS3 and selected File|New project. I named it CCIE V5
  2. Added 6 IOU devices to my topology - making sure they had layer 3 IOU images associated with them
  3. Renamed these dives from IOU1..IOU6 to R1..R6
  4. Added 4 IOU devices to my topology - making sure they had layer 2 IOU images associated with them
  5. Renamed these dives from IOU1..IOU4 to SW1..SW4
  6. Saved the topology
  7. Quit GNS3

What I had done by this stage was to create the directory structure that is required to make Abiz's topology work

  8. Download the v5.txt file from the link above, saving it as CCIE V5.gns3 - right over the top of the topology file I'd created in the previous steps

[I could have cut and pasted the contents to achieve the same result. Your choice]

  9. Started GNS3 again and loaded the CCIE V5 topology. The following message appeared:

    L3image.png

  10. I selected my Layer 3 IOU image and clicked OK.
  11. Next the following message appeared

  12. I selected my Layer 2 IOU image and clicked OK.
  13. My screen burst into life as an exact replica of Abiz's
  14. I made sure I saved the topology so that topology file would be updated with the appropriate paths

I now have a delightful topology, which I've compressed so you can download it from here

to save you doing steps 1..8 above. You'll still have to do step 9 onwards.
