For some strange reason i can't login to xrv on Virtualbox using beta1/2/3.
This issue seems to be with the beta serie on Windows 8 and Ubuntu 14.04

Has anyone experienced this problem ?

Yeah, but only when using it the ER beta series. The older GNS3 does not have this issue.

I've found that this happens when you use VirtualBox with IOS-RXv. Are you using VirtualBox? If so, try using QEMU instead.

All the files in the .OVA package can be extracted using the Unix tar command, and the extracted .VMDK disk image can be used with QEMU. I recommend assigning the QEMU virtual machine 2048 MB, and assign 4 interfaces. This works fine in GNS3 1.0-beta4-dev2 running on Ubuntu 64-bit, and QEMU-2.1.1. I've tested it with IOS-RXv 5.1.1, 5.1.3, and 5.2.0, and have configured labs using EIGRP and OSPF between IOS-XRv and Dynamips routers without a problem.

The tar command is:
tar xvf iosxrv-demo-5.1.3.ova

Cheers,
Jason
