Running 1.0b1 dev1. Running manjaro ( arch ) fully updated.

Topology is attached. Very simple, 4 switches all running 15.1 l2 image. 2 routers running 12.4 l3 image.

Pinging from r1 to r2 fails. Getting this error.

*Jul 12 19:30:52.179: %SYS-2-MALLOCFAIL: Memory allocation of 3004 bytes failed from 0xA70A488, alignment 8
Pool: Processor Free: 39200 Cause: Memory fragmentation
Alternate Pool: None Free: 0 Cause: No Alternate pool
-Process= "ARP Input", ipl= 0, pid= 18, -Traceback= 0xA703FD3z 0xA6FD568z 0xA702F66z 0xA70A488z 0xA70AF83z 0x945B14Dz 0x94552BFz 0x94539D8z 0x84B3ACBz

I get this on the router ( r2) that I'm trying to ping. It them becomes unresponsive, IE show run does nothing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Bruce

EDIT: So I tried this with the same topology but removing SW2 and SW3. Worked. Then I added those switches back in and all the links, could not ping. Same error as above.
Statically made all ports trunks. Set all encap to dot1q. Running spanning tree ieee ( pvst ). Still could not ping, same error.

Shutdown link from SW4 to SW2, and link from SW4 to SW3. Now all the sudden I could ping.

Turned on link from SW4 to SW2, could still ping.
Turned on link from SW4 to SW3, could still ping.

Seems to be stable now. So is this a "IOU is flaky with spanning tree thing" ?

Most likely an issue with IOU. Sorry there is not much we can do :(
