|Post subject:||VMware Integration?|
With more network VMware virtual appliances becoming available, a proper VMware object should be added to the GNS3 device library.
The VMware object could essentially be a Cloud object stripped down to only allow the selection of vmnet (and tap for Mac) interfaces from the local host, but unlike the current Cloud object, the VMware object would also have the capability to connect to other VMware objects (in addition to the non-cloud GNS3 objects).
Case in point: I recently created a virtual lab (https://plus.google.com/+MarcWeisel/posts/LATMbzGcpYz) that required a mix of GNS3 Hub objects to establish the visual links with a rectangle object for the link between ASAv and ANET1. This was for form only as VMware was providing all the functionality behind the scenes. It's simply a kludgy procedure at best. Suggestions and/or thoughts?
