You need to update gns3-server:
pip3 install gns3-server==1.0beta1

Best Regards,

Same issue here but I am on Windows 8.1, it is like we need an updated .OVA file for the Beta1 version

Hi headly36,

rusmanking is correct. This command actually works - 'pip3 install gns3-server==1.0beta1' - even if the machine is Windows 8 (mine is).

the issue is - I received this error when I try to drag IOU device to the main screen - 'Could not connect to server 192.168.56.101:8000: GUI version 1.0beta1 differs with the server version'

What I did was:

- shut off the GNS3 VM server, changed the network adapter to 'NAT' (so that it can connect to the internet), then restarted it, and as per 'rusmanking's post, I put this command on the command line - 'pip3 install gns3-server==1.0beta1' - and almost immediately, it got the necessary updates from the internet.

- once again, shut off the GNS3 VM server, changed the network adapter to 'Host-Only', and restarted it.

- restarted GNS3 BETA1

After this, I was able drag the IOU device to the main screen without any problem. What a relief!

'rusmanking' - Thanks for all your posts and for the magic command - 'pip3 install gns3-server==1.0beta1'

Thanks,
smithjsp

Have you tried testing the VM a few times? Changing adaptors can confuse the host a bit.....

Verify your IP addresses, I don't usually use the loopback. I use the specific IP (IE. 192.168.56.101).
