Post subject:  Hypervisor Functionality

Will GNS3 V1 have the Hypervisor functionality in its release. I have used (using) beta 1 & 2, and I do not see it.

Hi,

Can you expand on "Hypervisor functionality"?

Thanks,

Hypervisor mode is where you can run dynamips on two or more PC's (Server and Client mode). This will relieve the performance
hit on the Server PC. The link below explains this mode:

Isn't that functionality covered by the presence of multiple GNS3 servers now?

It's just that each GNS3 server runs one Dynamips instance, but you can have multiple GNS3 servers, so it's the same deal. In fact, the new setup is better, in that you can allocate multiple GNS3 servers not just for Dynamips, but also for VirtualBox, Qemu and everything else GNS3 uses.

Exactly. There is just a limit to 1 remote server because the implementation is not yet complete but it will be ready for 1.0
