After installing and starting up the beta it gave me "Running GNS3 Early Release (ER) version 1.0beta1 on win32" in the console. I checked and the files were installed in the "Program Files" directory and not the "Program Files (x86)".

Did the installer detect or install something wrong, or is it running 64 bit?

I haven't gotten far enough to detect if anything isn't working correctly, but was wondering if the installer?

I am running on Windows 8.1 x64 on a Intel Core i3 processor.

Thanks,

Jon

Whilst I haven't looked at the exact code Jeremy uses for the displaying that message, I suspect he's reading a variable from Python (sys.platform) which for both 320bit and 64-bit Windows will be 'win32'.

If the files have installed into 'Program Files' (no x86) then I believe you will be running the 64-bit version.

I confirm this is exactly the case ;)
