GNS3 v0.5 all-in-one (includes Dynamips, Pemu and WinPCAP 4.0.2)

I installed the GNS3. v0.5 all in one on Windows XP Service Pack 2, but there a message while installed it says" WinPCaP 4.0.2 can't be installed , need administrator permission" and it keeps installing everything else and completed

I am new to this GNS3, please let me know what wrong with this, can i still use GNS3, my friend told me I need a software called Cisco IOS to work with this GNS, where i can download and what version

I have a router 2514, can I use GNS3 to run on this router

Thanks a lot

You can use GNS3 without WinPCap if you don't use Packet capture feature.

IOS (Internet Operating System) is Ciscos Operating system for Cisco Devices. There is IOS running in Every Cisco router. You have to be Cisco's customer to get IOS images from Cisco's web page. Or then you can copy it from real router.

Unfortunately you can't run 2500 series in GNS3. GNS3 emulates 1700, 2600, 3600, 3700, and 7200 hardware platforms.

Please read tutorial in GNS3 documentation page:
